
Open Qualifiers for Pokémon WCS 2026, held in San Francisco, USA, this August, will take place from April through June!
Top-performing teams from each regional qualifier will secure their spot in the Pokémon UNITE Division at WCS 2026. In Japan, the qualifying season will culminate in the “Pokémon Japan Championships 2026: Pokémon UNITE Division,” where the final 3 teams representing Japan will be decided.
Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that Travel Awards to Pokémon WCS 2026 will be granted to all qualifying teams!

What is the Pokémon World Championships (Pokémon WCS)?

The Pokémon World Championships is the ultimate global competition for both Pokémon video games and the Trading Card Game.
The event features four major categories: the Video Game Championships (VGC), the Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE. Every year, elite players who have battled their way through intense regional qualifiers gather from all over the world to compete for the prestigious title of World Champion.
