Adjustments to Move Learning

To allow trainers to quickly command their Pokémon to use a new move upon reaching the required level, moves will now be learned automatically when that level is reached.

Adjustments to the EXP System

To prevent situations where Pokémon miss out on EXP after assisting with a wild Pokémon KO due to being too far away, we have updated the mechanic. Now, if an ally Pokémon KOs a wild Pokémon within 2 seconds of you dealing damage to it, you are guaranteed to receive EXP regardless of your distance from the wild Pokémon.

Balance Adjustments

To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, some Pokémon stats and moves have been changed.

[Meowscarada]

• Double Team

• Clone search range: 5m → 8m

In a previous update, reducing the search range of the illusory copy from “Double Team” made it easier for Trainers to create a clone in the opposite direction of opponents to escape. However, it conversely made it more difficult to utilize the illusory copy in front to approach the opponent Pokémon. To accommodate and enable both of these battle styles, we have re-adjusted the search range of the illusory copy.

[Meganium]

• Petal Blizzard

• Damage: 10% decrease
• HP recovery: 15% decrease

• Unite Move: Full Bloom Aroma

• Unite Gauge energy required: 30000 → 90000
• Unite Gauge energy accumulated over time: 900/s → 2700/s
• Unite Gauge energy accumulated when a move hits an opponent Pokémon: 1500 → 4500
• Shield amount upon Unite Move activation: 20% of max HP → 10% of max HP
• Movement speed increase upon Unite Move activation: 30% → 10%
• Damage: 20% decrease

Meganium’s key feature is its ability to use its Unite Move to power up its own moves and frequently fight using its moves in full blooms. However, the amount of Unite Move gauge energy gained when scoring goals or defeating wild Pokémon had a disproportionately high impact compared to other Pokémon, leading to the frequency of its Unite Move usage exceeding our expectations. To ensure fairness in Unite Battles and keep the frequency of its Unite Move within the expected range, we have adjusted both the total energy required for Meganium’s Unite Move and the amount of energy gained from various sources, preventing its cooldown from being drastically reduced by scoring goals or defeating wild Pokémon. Additionally, while Petal Blizzard is a move that deals damage to opponent Pokémon while simultaneously recovering ally Pokémon, both its damage and healing output were too high. Therefore, they have been reduced.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed.

  • Fixed a bug on the Nintendo Switch version where previously downloaded update data was downloaded again every time the game was launched.
  • Fixed a bug where the search range indicator of the illusory copy created by Meowscarada’s “Double Team” was displayed to Trainers other than oneself.
  • Fixed a bug where hindrance resistance was not applied during the analysis phase of Metagross’s Unite Move: Compute and Crush.
  • Fixed a bug where Urshifu’s “Throat Chop” would unintentionally trigger Duraludon’s “Heavy Metal” ability upon landing.
  • Fixed a bug where there was a discrepancy between the shield duration and the visual effect duration for the shield obtained from Wigglytuff’s “Rollout.”
  • Fixed a bug where Typhlosion’s would become visible while blended into the searing flames of its Unite Move due to status conditions or other effects.
  • Fixed a bug where the cooldown reduction effect for “Fire Punch” when landing a boosted attack was greater than when landing a basic attack on Mega Charizard X.
  • Fixed a bug on Mewtwo X and Mewtwo Y where using another move while using “Psystrike” allowed basic attacks to be performed during the duration of “Psystrike.”
  • Fixed a bug where Mewtwo Y would reappear at the starting point in its Mega Evolved appearance if its Mega gauge became full after being knocked out.
  • Fixed a bug where Inteleon could not target and attack Typhlosion from outside the range of the searing flames when Typhlosion were using its Unite Moves.
  • Fixed a bug where Mega Charizard Y’s goal-charging action was not interrupted even if Articuno’s Unite Move froze the goal area while Mega Charizard Y was scoring.
  • Fixed a bug on Slowbro where although the actual HP recovery from “Amnesia” was affected and changed by “Cursed Bangle”, “Cursed Incense”, and “Big Root”, the displayed recovery numbers did not change.
  • Fixed a bug where Crustle’s and Duraludon’s “Stealth Rock” would deploy immediately upon contacting the water-filled area created by Suicune’s “Whirlpool.”
  • Fixed a bug under certain conditions where using Articuno’s “Ice Shard” or “Ice Beam” did not correctly reflect the “Camera Follows Moves” in-game setting.
  • Fixed a bug where the held item “Resonant Guard” would unintentionally trigger when Wigglytuff’s “Cute Charm” ability was activated.
